PREAMBLE
The purpose of the Wisconsin High School (WIHS) Bowling Club will be to provide high school students an opportunity to experience the spirit of the team competition and community pride while participating in a sport they can enjoy for the rest of their lives, and allows any bowler, without regard to race, sex, or physical challenge, an opportunity to participate within a team environment. It will provide sanctioned high school bowling competition as defined by the USBC and will provide an opportunity for student’s bowlers to meet bowlers from other schools and travel to other bowling club facilities.
ARTICLE I
NAME OF THE ORGANIZATION
The name of the organization shall be the Wisconsin High School Bowling Club. Operated and governed by the Bowling Centers Association of WI Board of Control.
ARTICLE II
MEMBERSHIP
The Club shall consist of the following Districts:
District 1 – Milwaukee
District 3A – Racine/Kenosha
District 3B – Walworth
District 4 – Madison
District 5 – LaCrosse
District 6 – Watertown
District 7 – Fond du Lac
District 8 – Green Bay
District 8A – Appleton
District 9 – Wausau
District 9A – WI Dells
District 10 – Eau Claire
Attachment A defines current district boundaries. (Working on this at this time.)
ARTICLE III
BOARD OF CONTROL
The Board of Control shall be composed of the Bowling Centers Association of Wisconsin Executive Director, current president and two (2) past presidents.
ARTICLE IV
ADVISORY COMMITTEE
The Advisory Committee of the WIHS Bowling Club shall be approved by the Board of Control annually. The Advisory Committee consists of the commissioner’s of each district. The Commissioner’s responsibilities include but are not limited to: Overseer of district activities; and assistance in settlement of problems and disputes which may arise. He/she also will be responsible for the coordination and communication with the Athletic Directors and School Administration which will be involved in WIHS Bowling Club activities. The commissioner receives his/her authority from the Board of Control.
ARTICLE V
FINANCES
The participants may incur all financial obligations in the operation of the program. Costs and expenses include but are not limited to:
Team Uniforms
Bowling Lineage Fees
Transportation To Meets and Tournaments
Banners, Jackets, Trophies and Awards
Secretarial and Record-keeping Costs
Scholarship Awards
State Tournament Fees
Salaries for Coaches and Commissioner (if applicable)
ARTICLE VI
AMENDEMENTS
An amendment by the Advisory Committee must be brought before the WIHS Bowling Club Board of Control at a regular scheduled meeting. Any amendment, if passed, will take effect at a time designated by the Board of Control in order to be passed.
